Configuring Encore Control Panels
A Control Panel can also be configured using the Encore Panel Server with
a Destination Ganging Opt 2 button, which permits toggling between the
modes (
Figure 168). When this button on the panel is illuminated, Ganging
Option 2 is active.

Destination Ganging and Shifted Functions
For all 48B, BPS, and derivative Control Panels, if a Shift button is defined
on the panel, normal Destination Ganging (i.e. press and hold the first Des
-
tination and then press additional Destinations to form the gang) is dis-
abled. Instead the Mode 2 Destination Ganging functionality will be used.
In this mode, pressing Destination buttons toggles them on and off to add
or remove them from a gang.
Control Panel Partitioning
Introduction
The Control Panel Partitioning feature allows an Encore 48B or KSD panel
to control more than one Destination at a time. This is accomplished by
dividing the panel into up to eight partitions (Destination buses), each ded

icated to a different Destination.
